Harvey was founded in 2022 by Winston Weinberg (CEO), a former litigator at O'Melveny & Myers, and Gabriel Pereyra (President), a former research scientist at Google DeepMind and Meta. Headquartered in San Francisco, Harvey builds domain-specific generative AI tools for legal and professional services work, including contract analysis, due diligence, compliance, and litigation support, and was one of OpenAI's earliest partner companies with GPT-4 access. The OpenAI Startup Fund was Harvey's first institutional investor ($5M, November 2022), followed by a $23M Series A (Sequoia, 2023), $80M Series B (Dec 2023), $100M Series C (July 2024, $1.5B valuation), $300M Series D (Feb 2025, $3B), $300M Series E (June 2025, ~$5B), $160M Series F (Dec 2025, ~$8B), and a $200M growth round in March 2026 co-led by GIC and Sequoia at an $11B valuation.
