Genspark was founded in 2023 by CEO Eric Jing and CTO Kay Zhu, both former Baidu executives; Jing was previously a founding member of Microsoft Bing, and Zhu worked on deep-neural-network search ranking at Google. COO Wen Sang, previously founder of enterprise SaaS company Smarking, joined as a co-founder. The company is headquartered in Palo Alto, California. Genspark builds an AI Workspace product using a Mixture-of-Agents architecture that orchestrates 70+ AI models (including GPT, Claude, Gemini, and DeepSeek) alongside 80+ built-in tools to automate research, search, and other knowledge-work tasks. The company reported reaching $250M in ARR within roughly 12 months of launch and achieved unicorn status in 2025. Genspark raised a $275M Series B in November 2025 and a $100M Series B extension in June 2026 led by Sozo Ventures, Korea Mirae Asset, and UpHonest Capital at a reported $2.6B valuation. Other investors include Emergence Capital, LG Technology Ventures, and Temasek.
