Flowith was founded in Shanghai in 2023 by CEO Derek Nee and co-founder Yichen Wu, aiming to replace the single-threaded chat window with a visual, branching canvas for working alongside AI. The company built its early following among users who wanted to explore multiple directions of a research or writing task in parallel instead of scrolling through one long conversation. Flowith's product line spans a canvas-based workspace, a searchable knowledge base called Knowledge Garden, and Agent Neo, an autonomous agent that plans and executes multi-step research or build tasks with a large working memory. The company markets FlowithOS as an operating system built specifically for AI agents rather than a single app. The company raised a multi-million dollar seed and seed-plus round from investors including Sequoia China's seed fund, LongRiver Investments, and Vertex Ventures, and says it has crossed a million registered users since launch.
