YC-backed AI code review platform combining low false-positive static analysis with Autofix, which opens pull requests that fix issues automatically.

DeepSource was founded in San Francisco in 2018 by Sanket Saurav and Jai Pradeesh, who previously built developer assessment platform DoSelect, and went through Y Combinator's Winter 2020 batch. The founding thesis was that static analysis tools had a noise problem — too many low-value warnings buried the issues that actually mattered — so DeepSource built its detectors around a target false-positive rate under 5%. The platform now covers roughly 5,000 static analysis checks across 16 languages at general availability, including Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, Java and infrastructure-as-code formats like Terraform and Docker, plus secrets detection across 30-plus services. Its Autofix feature goes a step further than flagging issues: it opens a pull request with a working fix generated by AI, rather than leaving the fix entirely to the developer. DeepSource has raised about $10.6 million total, including a $5 million round in January 2022 from investors like 645 Ventures and FundersClub, and serves more than 7,000 teams, though it hasn't announced new funding since that round.
