AI dubbing and localization platform that recreates an actor's original voice performance in another language, used by Hollywood studios.

Deepdub was founded in 2019 in Tel Aviv by brothers Ofir and Nir Krakowski, who came from Israeli intelligence and defense-tech backgrounds before turning to speech AI. The company built its own emotion-aware text-to-speech and speech-to-speech models rather than relying on third-party voice engines, aiming specifically at the film, TV, and streaming dubbing market rather than general-purpose narration. Its platform, marketed as Deepdub GO alongside a real-time Deepdub Live product, converts a translated script into dubbed audio that tries to preserve the original actor's tone, pacing, and emotional delivery across 100+ languages, and can also shift accents while keeping a performance's intent intact. The company has worked with major studios and streamers on localization for scripted content, positioning itself against traditional voice-over dubbing houses rather than other AI voice startups. Deepdub raised a $20 million Series A in February 2022 led by Insight Partners, bringing total funding to roughly $26 million, and has since released an enterprise tier with an updated eTTS model aimed at studio-scale production workloads.
