Seoul-founded AI Human company behind AI Studios, a platform for generating avatar-presented videos and interactive digital humans.

DeepBrain AI was founded in Seoul in 2016 as MoneyBrain, originally building conversational AI for Korean banks before pivoting toward synthetic video and 'AI Human' avatars under founder and CEO Eric Jang. The company rebranded to DeepBrain AI as its avatar-video business grew, and it now operates out of Seoul with additional offices in Palo Alto and Beijing. Its flagship product, AI Studios, generates videos with photorealistic AI presenters from a script, and the company also licenses real-time conversational avatars for use in kiosks, broadcast news segments and customer-service applications across banking, media and public-sector clients in Korea and beyond. DeepBrain avatars are frequently cited alongside HeyGen and Synthesia as among the more visually convincing options for lip-sync and natural head movement. The company raised a $44 million Series B in 2021 led by the Korea Development Bank at a reported $180 million valuation, with additional backers including IDG Capital, bringing total disclosed funding to roughly $55 million. DeepBrain AI employs an estimated 100-plus people.
