DataRobot

Enterprise AI platform for building and governing both predictive machine-learning models and generative AI agents in one workspace.

DataRobot

DataRobot was founded in Boston in 2012 by Jeremy Achin and Tom de Godoy, two former data scientists who left the insurance industry believing that automated machine learning could make advanced modeling accessible to teams without deep data-science expertise. The company's early growth was closely tied to competitive data science, recruiting engineers with strong Kaggle rankings, and it reached a roughly $6.3 billion valuation after a $300 million Series G in 2021. Both founders left their operating roles in 2021, and the company went through a period of leadership turnover and layoffs before Debanjan Saha, a former Google Cloud and AWS data-services executive, became CEO in 2022. Under Saha, DataRobot has repositioned around generative AI and agentic workflows layered on top of its original AutoML core, and it has been named a Leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Data Science and Machine Learning Platforms for multiple consecutive years. The company, headquartered in Boston, has more recently branded its newest offering as an "Agent Workforce Platform," combining foundation-model access, agent orchestration and governance tooling aimed at enterprises that also still rely on its original predictive modeling and MLOps products.
