Culture Amp

People analytics platform for employee engagement surveys, performance management, and AI-powered coaching insights.

Culture Amp

Culture Amp was founded in 2009 in Melbourne, Australia, by Didier Elzinga, Doug English, Jon Williams, and Rod Hamilton, with Elzinga continuing as CEO. It built its early reputation on employee engagement surveys before expanding into a broader people analytics platform used by thousands of companies to measure engagement, retention risk, and performance. The platform's Engage product runs pulse and full engagement surveys with benchmarking against Culture Amp's database of peer company results, while Perform covers continuous feedback, 1:1s, goal tracking, and formal performance reviews. In 2025 the company launched AI Coach, which applies natural language analysis across survey comments and performance data to generate manager and employee-facing coaching recommendations rather than just static dashboards. Culture Amp raised a $150 million round in 2021 led by Sequoia Capital China and TDM Growth Partners at a roughly $1.5 billion valuation, part of more than $258 million raised in total, and has grown through both acquisitions of adjacent people-analytics companies and organic product expansion.
