Copy.ai is an AI-powered content generation platform originally focused on marketing and sales copywriting, later repositioned as a generative AI platform for go-to-market workflows. It was founded in 2020 by Paul Yacoubian and Chris Lu, who had previously worked together at the ESO Fund. The company raised a $2.9 million seed round in March 2021 led by Craft Ventures, followed by an $11 million Series A round in October 2021 led by Wing Venture Capital, with participation from Craft Ventures, Sequoia, Tiger Global, and Elad Gil. On October 15, 2025, Copy.ai was acquired by Fullcast, a go-to-market and revenue-operations platform company, in a deal with undisclosed financial terms. Post-acquisition, Copy.ai's technology was folded into Fullcast's product suite. Pre-acquisition, the company was reported to have between roughly 50 and 200 employees, headquartered in San Francisco with a distributed team.
