London-based AI video platform that turns scripts into avatar-led training and enablement videos for corporate learning teams.

Colossyan was founded in Denmark in 2020 by Zoltan Kovacs, Kristof Szabo and Dominik Mate Kovacs, three engineers who had previously worked on deepfake-detection technology and decided to apply the same synthetic-media techniques to a legitimate business problem: producing corporate training videos without cameras, studios or actors. The team relocated its headquarters to London and shipped its first avatar video generator in early 2021. The company's product, Colossyan Creator, lets learning-and-development teams paste a script or PDF and get back a video with a talking AI presenter, subtitles and translated voiceovers in dozens of languages. It has become a common substitute for traditional e-learning production at companies like Porsche and Vodafone, particularly for compliance and onboarding content that needs frequent updates. Colossyan raised a $1.2 million pre-seed round from Day One Capital in 2021 and closed a $22 million Series A led by Lakestar in February 2024, bringing total funding to roughly $28 million. The company now employs around 100 people and reports more than 35,000 business accounts.
