CLO Virtual Fashion Inc.
Seoul studio behind CLO and Marvelous Designer, the 3D garment simulation engines apparel brands and game studios use to drape, fit, and render clothing digitally.

CLO Virtual Fashion was founded in Seoul in 2009 by Jaden Seungwoo Oh and Pete Goddard, building on cloth-physics research the pair had been developing for years before the company existed. Its core technology simulates how real fabric drapes, stretches, and folds around a 3D body, which lets a designer see how a garment will actually hang before a physical sample is cut. That engine now ships in two forms: CLO, sold to apparel companies for tech-pack creation, virtual sampling, and digital showrooms, and Marvelous Designer, the same simulation core repackaged for game studios and animation houses that need believable clothing on characters. Apparel brands including Nike and H&M have used CLO's tools to cut down on the physical sample rounds that used to ship back and forth between design offices and overseas factories, and Marvelous Designer has become a standard plugin in game and VFX pipelines alongside Maya and Blender. Epic Games, which licenses the underlying simulation technology for its own tools, is also an investor in the company. In December 2024 CLO closed a Series D round of roughly $34 million with participation from Atinum Investment and IMM Investment, taking disclosed funding past $40 million and funding further work on cloud rendering, AI-assisted pattern tools, and its CLO-SET collaboration platform.
