The company combines AI with neuroscience and learning-science research to build what it describes as a personalized pathway to mastery for each student, rather than a fixed, one-size-fits-all curriculum. The platform tracks behavioral signals beyond correctness, including time-on-task, focus, and patterns suggesting guessing, then sequences micro-lessons using spaced repetition and flags students who may need direct teacher intervention. It is used by schools including Eton College and Dulwich College, as well as larger school groups such as Cognita, spanning primary through further and higher education in more than 100 countries. The company has raised roughly $25.8 million in total funding, including a $6.5 million round in 2021 and a Series A investment from Hambro Perks in 2024, and operates with a team of around 100 people.
