San Francisco wristband maker, acquired by Amazon in 2025, whose $49 Bee Pioneer band listens to your day and turns it into summaries and reminders.

Bee was founded in 2022, incorporated as Bluush Inc., by CEO Maria de Lourdes Zollo and CTO Ethan Sutin, both previously of Twitter and the Twitter-owned Squad app, alongside co-founder Kwok Yin Mak. The San Francisco company built a low-cost wristband positioned as an affordable alternative to pricier always-listening hardware, using dual microphones to capture ambient conversation and turn it into summaries and action items in a companion app. The flagship Bee Pioneer band sells for $49.99 and pairs with iOS, Android and Apple Watch companion apps, supporting roughly 40 languages and multi-day battery life on paper. Amazon announced its acquisition of Bee in July 2025, and by 2026 had begun positioning it within its Alexa and Echo devices group while continuing to sell and update the standalone wristband under the Bee brand. Since the acquisition, Bee has added calendar and email integrations that let the device draft messages or create calendar events directly from things a wearer says out loud, one of several signs that Amazon intends to fold Bee into its broader device and assistant lineup over time.
