AI audio-separation company that splits any recording into vocal, instrument, dialogue, music, and effects stems for studios, labels, and broadcasters.

AudioShake was founded in 2020 by Jessica Powell, a former Google vice president of communications, and Luke Miner, a data scientist she met as an undergraduate at Stanford. Based in Burbank, California, the company has raised about $24.1 million, including a $14 million Series A led by Shine Capital announced in late 2025, and has grown to roughly 18 employees serving more than 40 enterprise customers. The company's technology separates mixed audio into vocal, instrumental, dialogue, music, and effects stems, including from recordings that were never originally multi-tracked, and has processed more than 100 million minutes of audio for clients such as Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, Disney Music Group, and ESPN. AudioShake has won recognition including a TIME Best Inventions award and the Sony Demixing Challenge, and offers its technology through a consumer-facing Indie web app, an enterprise API and SDK, and custom data services for catalog preparation.
