Applied Intuition was founded in 2017 by Qasar Younis and Peter Ludwig to help automakers and autonomous vehicle developers test driving software in simulation before deploying it on physical vehicles. The company built its early reputation supplying simulation, sensor modeling and validation tools to nearly every major automaker and a long list of self-driving and trucking startups working on ADAS and autonomy programs. The company has since expanded beyond passenger cars into a broader physical-AI strategy, offering Vehicle OS, a software-defined-vehicle operating system used by manufacturers such as Stellantis, alongside its original simulation and data tooling, and extending its simulation stack into robotics, defense vehicles and industrial equipment. Headquartered in Mountain View, California, Applied Intuition raised a $600 million Series F in June 2025 co-led by BlackRock-managed funds and Kleiner Perkins at a $15 billion valuation, bringing total funding to roughly $1.2 billion. The company reported annual recurring revenue near $830 million in 2025.
