Anyscale

Anyscale is a unified AI platform from the creators of Ray.

Anyscale was founded in 2019 by Ion Stoica, Robert Nishihara and Philipp Moritz, who created Ray at UC Berkeley’s RISELab. The company provides a unified platform for developing, scaling and operating AI and machine-learning workloads, including data processing, distributed training, inference, reinforcement learning and model serving across cloud and GPU infrastructure. Its platform includes the Anyscale Runtime and integrations with Ray Data, Ray Train, Ray Serve and observability and governance tools. Anyscale raised $100 million in Series C funding at a $1 billion valuation in December 2021. Keerti Melkote became chief executive officer in July 2024. On July 30, 2026, Anyscale announced a definitive agreement to join Nscale; the transaction was subject to closing conditions and regulatory approvals, and Anyscale said it would continue operating under its brand. The announcement stated that approximately 200 employees would join Nscale as part of the acquisition.
