AlphaSense
AI market intelligence platform that searches earnings calls, filings, expert transcripts and equity research so analysts stop manually scanning documents.

AlphaSense was started in 2011 by Jack Kokko and Raj Neervannan after Kokko, then a junior investment banker, got tired of hitting Ctrl+F across thousands of PDFs to find one data point. The two built a search engine that applies natural language processing to financial documents, letting analysts query filings, transcripts and broker research the way they'd ask a colleague a question instead of guessing at keywords. The company has since folded in Sentieo (search and modeling), Stream (transcript capture) and, in 2024, Tegus, the expert-call transcript library, making AlphaSense one of the largest primary-research repositories on the buy side and sell side. Today AlphaSense counts 88% of the S&P 100 among its customers and says its client base topped 5,000 organizations in 2024, spanning investment banks, hedge funds, consultancies and corporate strategy teams. The company crossed $600 million in annual recurring revenue in early 2026 and closed a $350 million round that June at a $7.5 billion valuation, backed by Vitruvian Partners, J.P. Morgan Asset Management and existing investor Viking Global. It remains headquartered in New York's Hudson Yards with additional offices in the UK, Finland, India and Singapore.
