Air
AI-native digital asset management and creative operations platform for marketing and creative teams.

Air was co-founded in 2017 by Stanford graduates Shane Hegde and Tyler Strand, who built it as a cloud-based visual workspace for creative teams drowning in loose files across shared drives, Slack threads, and email attachments. Early traction came from replacing that scattered file-sharing with a single searchable library built specifically around images and video rather than generic documents. The company has raised roughly $77 million across multiple rounds, including a Series B above $35 million, from investors such as Tiger Global, Lerer Hippeau, Insight Partners, Kleiner Perkins, and the Slack Fund. Air's library now manages more than 120 million creative assets for its customers. Air has leaned further into AI over the past two years, adding automatic tagging, conversational search across a media library, and a set of built-in AI editing models, positioning itself less as file storage and more as the system of record connecting creative production to how those assets actually perform in market.
