3DLOOK was founded in 2016 by Vadim Rogovskiy, Ivan Makeev, Whitney Cathcart, and Alex Arapov, with roots in Ukraine and headquarters now in San Mateo, California. Its core technology takes two smartphone photos of a person and uses computer vision to generate a 3D body model along with more than eighty measurements, aiming to solve the sizing guesswork that drives a large share of apparel returns and made-to-measure production waste. The company sells that technology through two main products: Mobile Tailor, used by made-to-measure and uniform manufacturers to automate body scanning for custom production, and YourFit, which pairs the same measurement engine with size recommendations and virtual try-on for online shoppers. Retailers and manufacturers including Tailored Brands, 1822 Denim, and Fechheimer have used 3DLOOK's tools to cut return costs and improve conversion on sized products. 3DLOOK raised a Series A round led in part by Almaz Capital, bringing total funding above $10 million, and has extended its measurement technology into adjacent categories beyond apparel, including automotive seating and gaming avatars.
